New Crowdfunding Platform by AppsGenius – GetFunded.com

Back in June of this year, Apps Genius announced they were going to join the crowdfunding community and opened the doors to their new site, GetFunded.com.

The site is anticipated to go live in the next few weeks. Until then, pre-registration has been opened to all businesses seeking crowdfunding.

Apps Genius is reviewing all projects to participate in their pre-launch of GetFunded.com and successful applicants will receive up to $5,000 towards their funding.

The future success of GetFunded.com will rely partly on progress made with the JOBS Act.

In the United States, crowdfunding enthusiasts can only receive services or products in exchange for their cash contributions.

If the JOBS Act is passed successfully, companies may be able to utilize crowdfunding as a source of financing by selling securities.

This would allow crowdfunding entrepreneurs and investors to invest and purchase shares in companies through crowdfunding platforms like GetFunded.com.

New crowdfunding platforms, especially those geared at niche audiences, are being launched at a rapid pace. AppsGenius is wasting no time in joining the crowdfunding community.

With their background in developing cross-platform mobile applications and gaming, it looks like they could very easily become a big player in the crowdfunding ecosystem.
